Once Upon a Room San Francisco is bringing comfort, joy, and a little bit of magic to children and families experiencing extended hospital stays at Sutter Health CPMC Van Ness.

Our dedicated volunteers transform hospital rooms into personalized, uplifting spaces inspired by each child’s favorite colors, characters, hobbies, and interests. From cozy bedding and cheerful décor to toys, books, activities, and special personalized touches, every room is thoughtfully designed to help a child feel seen, celebrated, and a little more at home.

As one of the newest Once Upon a Room chapters, our San Francisco team is excited to bring this special mission to families throughout the Bay Area. With the support of volunteers, donors, sponsors, and community partners, we hope to create moments of happiness during some of the most difficult days a family may face.
